Wheelin' Dealin' - Updates

I received a call from cycle this morning with the message, "YOUR RIMS ARE HERE!"

Needless to say, i wasted no time in setting up an appointment to get them mounted on the Continental CPC2 tyres (205/55/R15) that were already set aside at Stamford Tyres in Lok Yang. Luckily the rims were at the Pandan branch of Cycle & Carriage, so it was only a short hop, skip and jump to Stamford Tyres.

After it was mounted, we decided to fit the steering wheel as well and get it properly aligned:

With the new rims, the car feels lighter than when it was on the replicas. If what i've been reading is accurate, these old-style rims are actually forged - OE Fuchs - which makes their price a real bargain. The steering wheel is great too, offering grip and decently sporty aesthetics.

All it needs is a cleaning now and some interior grooming:

Black Metal: S2000 MY09 rims painted black

okok, more gratuitous shots of my black rims! last set i swear! lol

they're a lot lighter than the Modulos i had on previously so the car actually feels perkier as a result!

Black Gold : S2000 MY'09 rims get a new coat of paint

Photobucket

After a looooong wait, the rims (stock on the MY09) have finally been sprayed and painted Matte Black (yeah yeah, i know the effect looks almost satin gloss, but she insisted it's matte black so...). They should be on the car this coming week.

Sorry for bad pix. Just got them done during lunch today at Hurry Tyres at the junction of Serene Centre along Farrer Road (fone camera proving not the best to capture the contrast).

While you wait, there's always a good view of delectable yummies at Island Creamery in Serene Centre itself or just a quick coffee at Da Paolo Gastronomia in Cluny Court:
