Mini-Moto: Kawasaki 111 KSR

Pictures (especially) don’t do justice to its teeny proportions.

This bike is really quite small and super fun to ride. Basically its a mini-supermotard = a half-sized Scrambler with road tyres.

At only $3,800 (add $430 for mods) this second-hand (registered February'06) 'saki offers more giggles than an entire night of decadent fun spent at a deluxe KTV niteclub! (www.looimotor.com for new bikes)

In stock form, it produces 8.4bhp from its 4-stroke 111cc engine. Top speed is a measly 95km/h and it sounds as good as an asthmatic without his Ventolin.

With a “race use” only Mukini carb and a 90dB exhaust fitted, this little bike now touches 120km/h and easily turns other bikers on the road ‘green’ with envy.

Good news is the chicks love it too. Bad news, it doesn’t have pillion capabilities!

Hard ---> Soft: Honda S2000

Mileage: 1800km

well, i've just sent the car into Kah for its 1000km initial service, which included an oil change and assorted tightening up of the nuts and bolts and the bill wasn't off-the-radar (<$200). After living with the hardtop since i picked up the car: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

i figured it was time to give the canvas roof a good airing, since i hear that keeping it in storage and undeployed for extended periods will lead to creasing/wrinkling of the rag-top, as well as hardening of the plastics and maybe even mechanical seizure.

Why take the risk right? :p

so yes, i've finally popped my hard-top cherry, and no, there's no double entendre intended either!

First time i've hit this button!

Removing the hard-top is a 2-man operation (okok! 3 man operation with 1 to watch over the other cars :))*, and storing it can be quite a pain.

I just hope my mom doesnt catch sight of this

(Believe me, I've tried to tuck it away as inconspicuously as possible):
